Arts Showcase and Other Happenings

The Manitoba Arts Network Showcase conference, held in Flin Flon last week, is going really well
as of this writing.

We have more than 100 people from all over Manitoba and a representative from Dryden, Ontario. Then we have about 50 performers in a variety of configurations, solo acts, duos, a family of five playing fiddles and step-dancing.

There is also a circus! Vague de Cirque, from Quebec, performs acrobatics inspired by the small traditional European circuses.

Local Talent at Contact Showcase!

“I want to spread my wings, I want to grow,” says CC Trubiak.

Last week, the Flin Flon musician learned he would receive an opportunity to do just that: he has been chosen to take part in the Manitoba Music Emerging Artists Showcase.

The event, part of the Manitoba Showcase 2015 being held in Flin Flon, will see Trubiak and three other emerging artists perform songs for an audience of industry professionals later this month
